Quiet Saturday

Counting Numbers

Suleha has been telling me a couple of weeks ago that Geraldine can count from 1 to 10 by herself in english and mandarin but both Daddy & myself have yet to hear it. She is a stubborn girl, whenever we ask her to count she will keep quiet. Friday night while trying to make her sleep by ignoring her, suddenly I hear her counting from 1 to 10 by herself. I was surprise and her prouncation is very clear too! Well done gal gal! Gin was telling me it's time to start Geraldine on drawings and to give her some coloring book. If possible to start teaching her some simple Math too. Maybe I will start working on it after we move house in 2 weeks time!

Daddy's gift

Daddy bought Geraldine a set of really sweet and pretty Minnie Mouse blouse + skirt. This is the first time Daddy actually bought on his own a set of clothing for Geraldine. And he waited 1 week for the stock to come in. Daddy really surprise us, coz usually he doesn't look at clothes at all!

Geraldine was so happy when Daddy passed her the clothes. She kept waving the clothes, excitedly talking in her own language and trying to open the package. She took the skirt and put in on her head pretending its a hat and singing her own baby song. So cute & funny. Never seen her looking so excited when I show her the new clothes I bought for her. When we are almost home, I told Geraldine let mummy keep the clothes, she hand them over and insist I let her carry the shopping bag. She carried the bag in her and and caught us by surprise saying' Happy Day'. She is really very happy over her new pretty clothes :-)

All in a day...

In the morning when Geraldine sees her YeYe & Nai Nai, she will call out, 'YeYe / Nai Nai, morning.'

When it is time to go home, she will say, 'YeYe, bye bye, see you later ...or see you to..mor..row.' (her tomorrow still cannot prounce properly yet)

On the way home in the car, she will say 'careful...careful'....wanting us to drive carefully???

Every night before she sleeps, she will go to our bedroom, turn on the CD player and dance to her Barney songs. She even remember the steps from the DVDs that she has been watching. Mummy has to join her in her dancing too...tiring workout for mummy, no wonder losing weights....haha

At night when it is time for bed, she will call out 'night night Gu Gu, Daddy, Mummy, Kaka and her fishes', so cute.

Sakura Cherry Blossom

Found this picture while looking through my photo album. Took this while I was in Japan 2 years ago and managed to catch the start of Sakura cherry blossom. I can feel the excitement of the local Japanese over the bloom and you can see groups of people gathering in the parks in the day, sitting under the Sakura trees enjoying the pretty flowers swaying in the cool gentle breeze and the peaceful feeling that seems to come over you just standing under one of these trees. The next morning, I grab my breakfast and sat under a blooming cherry blossom in the park just near my hotel. The feel is really great and a sense of peace descended on me. At that moment, I wish CH was with me to enjoy the moment together. It is really a great experience!

Unfortunately, I didn't bring my camera and only captured on a handphone that I was not familiar with. Only managed to save this one and only picture.

The Pacificer

Geraldine favorite movie is 'The Pacificer'. She can sit and watch almost the whole show whenever we played it. Maybe because of the baby and the other children in the show, she is at this stage that as long as anything related to babies or children, she simply loves them! You can see her full concentration on the show..... she seems to understand what is going on in the show.

18mths booster jab

Took Geraldine for her 18mths belated booster jab today. Dr Ong is very fast with his hands and Geraldine didn't even knew he had done the injection. Her height is about 89cm now. Have to monitor if she will get fever after her jab.

'Siao Xin'

While Daddy was driving us home tonight, he suddenly brakes a bit harder and Geraldine call out ' Siao xin' (becareful) we were so surprised that she said that. Suleha said could be everytime Mummy will call out Daddy 'siao xin' so Geraldine just call out when Daddy did a hard brake. She sounds really cute when she says 'siao xin'

Belated Birthday wish

To make up for not wishing my Mummy 'Happy Birthday' yesterday, Daddy reminded me in the morning to say it to my Mummy. I say 'Happy Birthday Mummy' in the lift and my mummy was very happy and surprised. She praised me for being such a good and smart gal!

Happy Birthday Mummy!

Today's is my mummy's birthday, Daddy secretly taught me to say 'Happy Birthday Mummy' so I can say it to her tonight when we are home. But I was naughty and didn't take my usual afternoon nap, by the time we are in the car on our way home at 7.15pm, I'm already fast asleep in my mummy's arms. So disappointment that I didn't get to wish my mummy Happy Birthday and get to blow the candle with my Mummy and Daddy. Daddy ordered a really nice cheesecake from 7th Manna specially for Mummy, it taste really delicious but too bad I didn't get to eat it :-(

P.S. My Suleha kaka has started to potty trained me today. So far I managed to pee in the potty twice but I miss que most of the time as I was busy playing with my Yan En Mei Mei and forgot I need to pee. I shall try harder tomorrow :-)

BTW, I call my KaKa 'Lehaaaa.......' and she loves it course I sound really sweet and cute when I call her 'Lehaaa......'

Some new words I have been saying: mangosteen, minnie mouse, magic, lantern, mango, barley water, elephant, camera, help me, screw, throw rubbish, take pictures, big one & small one.

Terminal 3

It was a really hot & stuffy weekend, decided to bring Geraldine to some place indoor and cool so we drop by the Airport T3. She was really excited as the hall is so big and she was fascinated by her own reflection on the floor tiles.

T3 is really big, a place to go if you want some space and quiet.

Plaza Singapura

Decide to pop by Plaza Sing to get some shower racks for the house. Geraldine having a good time checking out the cakes and running around. She has been a very good gal. Told her Mummy back pain and can't carry her, she will either walk by herself or ask her KaKa to carry her. And always touch my back say 'Mummy, pain pain.'

Almost done

Renovation works are almost done. Painting, false ceiling and lightings are up. We are waiting for the cabinets, toilet accessories and the final 2 coats of paints.
Living room feature wall in Nippon Galaxy. We really like the new black ceiling fan as it keeps the room cool and also out of Geraldine's reach.
Our really small kitchen. Waiting for the kitchen cabinet & tempered glass to go up this week.

Princess's room in pink. Going to paint the wall in pink and white candy stripes for the final coat.
Master bedroom, still pretty raw. They need to redo the skirtings and also setup the wardrode.

We are really anxious for the renovation work to be done so we can move in soon and get everything settle in time for Geraldine's 2 year old birthday. The whole house feels really relaxing and cosy. I'm now looking for a set of nice outdoor chairs and table for our bedroom balcony so Daddy can sit & relax reading his newspaper during weekends.

Geraldine & her 'Fishies'

Daddy bought some fishes for Geraldine over the weekend. She calls them her 'Fishies'
And she is taking good care of her fish..remembering to feed them every morning (if she wakes up before we leave the house) and night before she sleeps.

Saying 'I' for Me...

Geraldine is associating the word 'I with herself as an individual. Every sentence now comes with 'I sit, I eat, I stand, I change, I dance, I jump, I want, I sleep, I drive, I wash, I swim, I play, I swing'...etc

She is entering into the terror 2 stage now. When she doesn't get what she wants, she will scream, cry and go on and on non stop until she gets what she wants. No amount of reasoning will stop her. When she sees me, I have to do everything that she wants, like feed her, carry her, play with her and everywhere I goes, she has to call out and follow me. She is sticking like my shadow. And of course her favorite word 'NO'. She is starting to say 'No' to everything. No to eating dinner, No the being a good gal...etc..etc. haiz...

Kindermusik lesson

Brought Geraldine to Kindermusik trial class at Tanglin Mall. At first, I was pretty worried she will be shy and will stick to me as she has been really sticky these couple of weeks. Luckily, she adept well and enjoys herself in the class. When teacher ask the children to come up & take the instruments, Geraldine will walk up, took it from the teacher and says 'xie, xie'. Overall, she has a good time. I will let her try out other classes before settling for a fixed one. Next stop, check out Novena squares and see what classes they have to offer.

Geraldine : 'No, I want to sit here.'

Geraldine : 'Mummy, keep. Put there.' (yet to taught her to pronounce cupboard)

Geraldine : 'Mummy, wake up.'
Mummy : 'Wait....'
Geraldine : 'Now...'

Geraldine : 'Mummy, hurry up'
Mummy : 'Coming...'
Geraldine : 'Hurry up'

Tampines Mall

Went out on to Tampines Mall as Daddy need to get a new pair of working shoes. Geraldine keep asking for balloon once she caught sight of one...so Daddy has to walk into Starhub and get one for her.

Friday night outing - Ikea

Decide to pop by Ikea after dinner to get some racks and photo frame for the new house.

Saying Geraldine

Geraldine surprised us by pronouncing her own name in a single breath on the way home last night. Well done my little girl!
She understand more of what the adults are saying now and is forming more sentences when communicating her wishes.
She weighs 14kg now. No wonder my back always hurt when I carried her for long period of time.

Check out cashier

Geraldine enjoying her new toy check out cashier. Comes with a little microphone, actual calculator, weighing machine and even purchase receipt. So cute when she tried to give me coins change from her little cashier telling me ' Mummy, money money.

Saying her own name...

We are trying to get her to say her own name, so far she is able to pronounce 'Geral'....followed by 'din'... But she is still not able to say it fast in a single breathe.

New words she picks up these couple of days 'massage, pizza, pumpkin, ice-cream, worm, orange juice, apple juice, raisin cookies, guava, peach, fries, ginger, Dora, boots'. And the most funny she picks up 'Money, money' too.
