I love you

When I told Geraldine she is going to school tomorrow, she says 'I love you, I don't want to go to school.' My heart melted when I hear her says this. I would love to keep her by my side everyday, especially with Suleha gone, I'm spending more time with her doing things together. Our bond has gotten very very strong. I love her more each day thought she makes me feel frustrated, when she can't be away from my side for just a few seconds! It's driving me crazy!

Back to Skool

After being away from school for more than 2 weeks coz she was not well and they had cases of HFMD. Finally, she is back to school today! She didn't want to go back and keep clinging to me, she cried for a while after I went off. When I went to pick her up after work, she was pretty happy and says she want to go to school. Hope she continue to feel that way.

Sick

Both myself and Geraldine has been falling sick since Kaka when home to Indonesia. Realised she didn't have a lot of toys, thus got this to entertain her while both of us is trying to recuperate from our fever that comes and goes.

New Songs she is singing

4) Don't know why these 2 days she keeps singing, 'We wish you a merry christmas, we wish you a merry christmas, we wish you a merry christmas and a happy new year.' Coz there is no x'mas songs playing since the festive seasons is already over??

Day 3 in Skool

Geraldine woke up and the first thing she told me is she wants to go to school. So off we go to skool with my little gal. She was unhappy at first as Teacher Mary was not around when we reached school. Teacher Mary was here after breakfast and immediately she cheers up. I told Geraldine that Mummy is going to work and she has to listen to Teacher Mary and she says okie and gave me a kiss. Glad she didn't cried when I told her I'm going off to work.
I went to pick her earlier today after their nap time. She cried when she saw me and didn't want to let go of my hand. Teacher Mary told me she cried for a short while during outdoor playground when she can't find me but was o.k after Teacher Mary carried her. She managed to nap after Teacher Ling Ling pat her. We stayed for play gym conducted by external party. They have play gym once a week.

Day 2 in Skool

A fresh looking Geraldine in the morning all excited that we are going to school.

Brought her to school earlier today at 8am and she was happy as she gets to play in the indoor slides before the morning assembly.

English Art class with Teacher Mary...

Today, they learnt to put glitters on the picture of their feet drawn yesterday. Geraldine chose purple glitter. Her fav color.

Done.... look pretty though messy...heehee

She loves the tools toy in school...and is always happily hammering away.

We stayed longer today as I wanted to see how the teachers shower the kids. First, they took of all their clothes, wrapped them up in towels and sat side by side waiting for their turn. Teacher Mary showered Geraldine and she had fun. She even wanted to stay and nap with the other kids, but I told her she will nap tomorrow.

She told me as soon as we leave the school that she likes to go to skool. She really surprised me with her independence as she is a super stickly little gal. I was worried she might fall sick but in the end mummy was the lousy one who fell sick...haha

Just another Saturday

Day 1 in Skool

Today is the first day Geraldine started childcare session with Cambridge CDC. Woke her up in the morning feeling sleepy but she was really excited when I told her we are going to school today. We reached there just in time for breakfast. She sat with the rest of the kids and ate chee cheong fan with fresh milk. Next was a short sing along session, followed by outdoor playground. Geraldine fall in love with the playground and was really excited that she forgot I was there and had a great time enjoying herself.

Back from the outdoor playground, feeling really thirsty. She had a fun time playing with her new friends and didn't want to leave the playground.

Art class with English Teacher Mary, she feels comfortable and moves around the table asking Teacher Mary if she can change the color of her crayons.

Here she is concentrating real hard on coloring the picture of her feet.

I went to the toilet leaving Geraldine in the classroom with one of the kids. When I got back, I was surprised to find her sitting at the table quietly feeding herself and not looking out for me.

She is busying enjoying her fried rice and soup. It was so tasty that she ask for 2nd helping of the soup.

She finished all her food & did a good job feeding herself only dropping a couple of rice on her pants and didn't drip any soup onto herself. Teacher Mary said Geraldine did a very good job on her first day in childcare without crying and is a well behave gal.

I was pretty proud of her. After lunch, I brought her home. Didn't want to expose her to too much changes on the first day. Here she is looking tired after so much activities and insisted on carrying her own bag.

I ask Geraldine if she likes going to school and she replied me she likes school. I was so happy and relief to hear that! At least, all went well on the first day. Well done Gal!
