Conversations

Geraldine has been telling me almost everyday now that she wants to go to school.
Geraldine: ' Mummy, I want to go to school. Take bag and bring Mei Mei (her doll).
Mummy: ' Geraldine, why do you like to go to school?'
Geraldine: 'School got GorGor, Jie Jie, Mei Mei & DiDi. Cannot push, cannot fight, cannot pinch, cannot cry. Got playground, swimming pool!'
Mummy: 'There are teachers there too, must listen to teacher and behave yourself, o.k?
Geraldine: 'Yes, must share. Got colors, ABC and toys! I want go school! Now, now, o.k?'

On the way to pick Daddy home from work.
Mummy: 'Geraldine, where are we going?'
Geraldine: ' We go pick Daddy.'
While we are waiting, Geraldine says, 'Daddy noti, so late.'

Pick Daddy up without Kaka.
Daddy: 'Geraldine, where is KaKa?'
Geraldine: 'KaKa at home.'
Daddy: 'What is KaKa doing at home?'
Geraldine: 'KaKa at home cooking.'
Daddy: 'What is KaKa cooking?'
Geraldine: 'I don't know.'

Something new that she has been saying

Her new phrase, 'No No No, I'm not doing it.' Very cute and very adult.

Daddy's birthday

Daddy's birthday cake. He is the #1 Daddy in Geraldine's and mummy's eyes. Always here when we needed him and putting us in the #1 spot in his life. Thank you for working so hard for us! We both love you very very much Daddy! *muack*

YeYe and Yan En's birthday celebration

Using the chopsticks, Geraldine fed herself and finished all the noodles in the bowl!

Everyone was really full after the buffet lunch so all ahead back to YeYe's place to blow candles and cut the cake.

New car seat

Got the new car seat yesterday. They have it in sweet pink color too! I wanted to get that coz it's so sweet but Daddy says it will get dirty real fast so I have to give up that idea.

We were pretty worried she might be resistance to sitting in it. Luckily, she seems happy to sit coz we told her this is a Princess seat and only princess can sit in it. Hope she will be a good gal and behave in the car when it comes time for me to send her to childcare.

Bedok Reservior Park

Brought Geraldine to Bedok Reservior Park. It has been almost 6 years since I was last there and there has been much changes. Like this new wooden bridge. There are people fishing here. Both me and Geraldine were surprised to see the fishes caught were quite big, maybe around 1kg (1kg that is what the uncles who caught the fish were saying).

Pretty nice fishes too, color stripes.
Geraldine didn't want to go down to the sand pit coz she says it's dirty. Didn't want the sands to get into her shoes.
I have to drag her to go on the swing with me coz she really didn't like the sands. See her face, didn't really enjoy it at all. Naughty gal!

I want to go to school

Geraldine pulled me to her room last night and ask me to pass her bags to her and take out her 'Mei Mei Doll' from the toy box. Saying, 'Mummy, I want to go to school.'

Geraldine at 24+mths

My little gal has grown up so fast since her 2 year old birthday. Suddenly, she looks so much taller and behave more like a little adult. Her childcare will start pretty soon. Tentatively, we set the date as 25th Feb. I have been asking her if she wants to go to school and there are a lot of Gor Gor, Jie Jie, DiDi and Mei Mei to play with. Not to mentioned lot of toys at school and playground for activies, and she answered me, 'Share, o.k. Cannot push'. Sometimes, she caught me by surprise with the things she says. Being busy with work and only get to spend time with her at night and on weekends, I really don't know what she has been picking up in the day with her kaka.

1) Her favorite phrase now is' Last time, o.k?' Whenever she said that, we have to let her play or do whatever she wants one last time before she will do things our way. And 'Excuse me.' She is always saying 'excuse me' if someone gets in her way.

2) She is also very quick with her 'Sorry' now. When she know she does something wrong, she will quick say, 'Mummy/Daddy/KaKa.. sorry.' And she will force her kisses onto your mouth (for Mummy & Daddy's case only). With that we can't scold her and she gets forgiven really fast.

3) When she is home with us, usually she is a darling. Most of the time she is happy just watching her Barney, Nemo & Dora Vcds, playing in her room while waiting for her swimming session in the late p.m with Daddy. She still gets very affected whenever she watched Madagascar 2 the scene the little cub got taken away from the Daddy lion by the hunters. She will cry pitifully and look for her Daddy.

4) She likes to go to her room to play and will always request to read story books. But there is no reading, she only like to flip through all the books, called out all the characters and then tell me 'Yeah, finish! When I start to read the sentences to her, she will run away and dig for other toys to play.

5) She calls herself Princess and is slowly getting to be more vain. She is always asking her Nai Nai to cut her hair, telling us she wants to be pretty pretty. Coz she always see her Nai Nai cutting and styling hair in the day.

6) She will react to situation. Just the other day Daddy was driving and make a turn too hard. Geraldine called out ' Daddy, drive properly!'

7) Her speech is getting clearer now. Most of the time she can communicate to us clearly what she wants, but still in broken sentences. Hopefully, with the childcare classes, she can speak better and learn to be more sociable.

8) Last week while we were looking through the pictures Chee Wei took on Geraldine's birthday. Geraldine started singing 'Happy Birthday' song for herself. When she sang 'Happy Birthday to Geraldine' it hits me that my little baby is not longer a baby. We need to spend more time with her before we missed out on all the precious things that she is picking up now.

Oranges

Bought Geraldine to the fruits stall to buy some oranges. She help me carried the basket and insist on choosing the oranges. When we are done, I passed her $2 to give to the Uncle. After that we got into the car. Geraldine told her Daddy 'I bought orange. I pay Uncle money.' And she was really excited and happy over the whole episode. When we reach home, she told her KaKa the same thing. She has been trying to find money in our pocket at play, now she know the power of $$....haha...

Train ride

Geraldine loves taking the train. Every weekend she will bug us to take her on the MRT train ride. So we will usually take a ride to Bishan and drop by NTUC before taking the train back again.
