Mum's 54th Birthday celebration

We celebrate Mum's 54th year old birthday today. All of us pray for her good health and more happy moments together.

Mushroom haircut

Nai Nai gave Geraldine a hair cut and now she looking like little Miss Mushroom head. She has been really naughty over the weekend. Insisting on getting her way and keeps crying on and on if we don't give in to her. It will not be an easy task trying to get her to listen to us. Her favorite is telling us 'mai' (Don't want) or No no no no no....

First swimming session

Geraldine having her first swim in the pool. She really enjoys it! When it time to come up, as expected, she was screaming and kicking to go down again.

Pasir Ris Park

It has been a stressful week for me and Daddy brought us out to Pasir Ris to unwind.

Geraldine getting really excited to see all the kids running around...it was quite crowded at the playground.

Geraldine trying out the slides, she only tried once, quite timid and didn't want to try again. Maybe after a couple of months she will enjoy it more.

Now that she has grown taller, she can climb up our dining table chair and on to the table trying to reach for her tibits. Really have to keep an eye out for her, she is always climbing up & down and running around the house. Definietly a very active little gal!

New hair style

Tried to give Geraldine a new look, however her hair are still too short..... but overall still look cute...haha
New words she is saying,'horse', 'pain', 'cut', 'comb', 'wear', 'bread', 'off', 'pants' and correctly identifying 'car' & 'van'. So far on her mandrian skills she only picks up 'Cai (vegetables)', Mian (noodle)' & 'Hua (flower)'.

Growing up progress

New words Geraldine is saying, 'frog', 'rain', 'throw', 'chou chou','poo poo'. She calls Banana 'na na' and Papaya is 'pa pa'. Favorite phase, 'Soup hot...blow', ' milk hot...blow', 'per(diaper) wet' and after changing her diaper she will say 'throw'.

Just yesterday, Daddy lightly beat Geraldine's hand as she was being naughty. She run out of the room called out to me and say'beat beat'. She even hit her hand to show the beating action on the spot that Daddy so call 'beat' her. Wonder where she learn that from.

East Coast Park

The day started out hot and sunny. Luckily, a late afternoon shower help cool down the day. We decide to bring Geraldine out to the beach. Here she is having fun digging in the sand with Daddy and Po Po and looking at the areoplanes as they flew by. As expected, when its time to go, she screamed her displeasure and kicked her leg to protest. We have to quickly carry her and keep the beach out of her sight!

Helping out with household chores

Here is Geraldine helping Mummy to mop the floor. Even though the mop is so much longer and Geraldine being so short, she did managed to get a good gripe and handled the mop really well. All done without the help of mummy.Since she was 1 yr old, she has always loved to wipe the floor with her little wet tissue. Here she is hard at work cleaning the floor. When I say wipe and clean, she will go down on her knees and start cleaning diligently. Mummy have a very good helper here.

After a morning of hard work following Mummy around the house, cleaning the floor, wiping the walls, cupboards and TV top. Geraldine taking a break and having her snacks.

She had so much fun helping around the house. I just hope she keep up this spirit when she is much older... haha.

1) For the past 2 weeks, we have been letting her feed herself at dinner and she has gotten a good hand at it.

2)Realise she is remembering her Barney disc well. Even before the next song plays. she will know what is coming up next. Quite surprise, especially we have been rotating her five Barney disc. Eg, just secs before her dancing songs came up, she will hold Daddy's hand and get in position to dance with him. Before twinkle twinkle little stars comes up, she will say 'Star' and then start moving her fingers in blinking motion.

3) She has been observing her Daddy while he was driving. When daddy says drive, she put up both her hand on an imaginary steering wheel and start driving... so cute.

4) New words she learnt, 'clock', 'watch', 'spoon', 'close', 'grapes', scared scared'. She is still trying hard to pronounce 'water' and 'ice-cream'

5) She has 12 little shiny tooth now.

Outing to Ikea

Last Pneumococcal jab

Took Geraldine for her last Pneumococcal jab and she developed slight fever. Here she is coped up at home, running around with her toy mobile phone calling everyone. She weighs 10.6kg and measure 80cm now.

These two days noticed Geraldine has an interested for books. She will say 'book', point to them and expects me to read to her(brought so many books last month but this mummy didn'treally get down to reading to her). She enjoys flipping the pages and I will teach her to identify the objects at the same time. After reading, she will tell me 'Keep' and she will collect all her books, move out of bed and then placed them on our bedside table. She has also been keeping her toys when we say 'Keep your toys Geraldine'. This is all thanks to Ma's maid for installing this good habit in her.

New words she been saying' Cat, door, star, keep, there, pa pa (scare scare), walk, down, spoon, cup'.

One cute action she does, whenever the rubbish truck passed by Pa's house in the morning, she will use her finger and pinch her nose coz 'chou chou'.

Brushing teeth

Geraldine love to brush her teeth and she insist on brushing it herself. However, she still doesn't know how to do it properly and sometimes ends up brushing too hard hurting her gums.

Naughty little Angel

Nai Nai cut Geraldine's hair short coz it was getting messy. Looking like a boy again. Here she is chit chatting on the phone. She can talk really long and it really sounds like she is having an interesting conversation .. heehee so adorable1) Taught Geraldine to say 'Please' and she is able to say it now but she still doesn't know the right time to be using it.
2) She has been calling her Daddy 'Dad' sound so ang mo. And she is calling me 'Mee' now cut short for Mummy...maybe she just cut it short for her own convenience?
3) Whenever her Barney show comes to and end and 'hugging and kissing' song came up, Geraldine will run to us and give us big hugs. Or if she is sitting in her high chair, she will say 'Hug' and we need to give her a hug.
4) New words she is saying, 'Soup', 'Bee', 'Book', 'Keys', 'Roll over','Bear', 'Pig', 'red', 'bowl', 'socks'.
5) Taught her to identify sushi and she calls them 'Shi' now....
6) She has been giving everyone nice big hugs and kisses especially for 'Yan En Mei Mei' whenever we are going home. It is really cute to see both toddlers hugging and kissing each other.
7) Sometimes, while we are watching TV, she will suddenly comes up behind us and give us big hugs....so sweet and loving.
8) She loves to brush her teeth now. Sometimes, when in bed and I forgot to brush for her, she will get out from bed and use her finger like a brush, showing me to brush her teeth.

Notice this week she gets frustrated easily. If we don't give her what she wants she will scream and tried to roll on the floor. If we bring her to the supermarkets and she got her hands on some stuff and she won't let go. We have to carry her with her legs kicking out of the place. She is getting to be really naughty! I fear Terror 2 is fast approaching!

MacRitchie Reservoir

Geraldine woke us up around 4.30am today and it's a holiday! So everyone is out of the house by 6.20am to send PoPo to her friend's house at Thomson for her trip to Malaysia. It is even earlier than going to work! We had BF at Mac and after that Daddy drove us to MacRitchie Reservoir for a walk. Geraldine, pls try not to wake up before 5am everyday, you have been doing that for the past week. Look at mummy's panda eyes! Daddy refused to have his photo taken coz he look worst than mummy...haha

Sweet little Angel

Geraldine's progress:
1) After such a long time of trying to get her to call me Mummy. Finally! My little darling called me 'Mummy Mummy' today when I was ignoring her and she really wants to take her nap.
2) She calls her favorite rabbit - 'BBit BBit' and will look for her BBit & kiss BBit every time.
3) As we get ready to go out, I went ahead out the door while Daddy was putting on her shoes, Geraldine called out to me 'Wait Wait' and even hold out her hand. So cute!

4) Geraldine can call 'PoPo' now, but usually she doesn't call. Her fav is still calling 'Ye Ye' and 'Daddy'.
5) Geraldine has been having a lot of mosquito bites on her left leg and the bites will grow big and swollen with water in it. She has really sensitive skin, we really have to think of ways to keep the house mosquito free! She has been showing everyone her bites and saying ‘Bite Bite’ and asking Ye Ye to put ointment for her.
6) While on the road today, Geraldine called out 'Car' when a van drove passed. Something new that she has picked up though it’s wrong.. have to correct her on this.

Sometimes, we are really amazing at things she does that we are not even aware she knows it. Our actions, the things we says and our behavior really influence her behavior too. We will try our best to set good example for our little darling.

Calling 'Mei Mei'

Geraldine has been calling cousin Yan En ' Mei Mei' these 2 days. Yesterday, she actually said 'Mei, Bye!' She is loving her little cousin more and more and looking forward to playing with her everyday.
This week Geraldine has been having really good appetite and she gets hungry really fast. But YeYe is quite insistent to ensure every 3 hrs had passed before she eats her next meal. She was so hungry she actually bites her cousin Yan En's leg. We were all laughing when we heard this cause Yan En is so chubby and her legs really looks like pig trotters! I told Geraldine not to do it again next time as this is bad behavior.

Cooking Cooking...

Geraldine and her 'Baby'

Bought Geraldine her first Doll and she loves her little 'Baby'. She will pat and sayang her Baby. Sometime she will play rough and just drag her Baby by her hair.
Geraldine's Progress:
1) She will make her Baby stand and command her Baby to 'Walk'.
2) She will use her spoon to try to feed her Baby.
3) Daddy taught her there are stars in the sky at night.
4) She is able to identify the moon in the sky and say 'moon'.
5) She loves playing with water in her cup and just keep stirring the water with her spoon. It keeps her happy for a long time.
6) This morning our little darling woke us up before 6am. As she was lying on the bed playing, she suddenly said 'Oo Oh' with a cute high notes. She sounded so adorable and she has been saying 'Oo Oh' ever since.

Learning Time

Every morning, Geraldine will pass by these 3 teaching cards on the way to the kitchen. PoPo or Daddy will try to teach her to identify the items. So far she only knows Strawberry, banana and pumpkin.... Polar Bear is still 'Dog' to her coz the neighbour has a big and creamy white dog that looks just like a Polar Bear. We are trying to correct her on this.
