Geraldine is 4 !!!

Brought the kids to Explorer Kiz Downtown East for Geraldine's birthday. Geraldine and Yan En has been looking forward the whole week!

Mao Zhi first time to an indoor playground, he dare not go into the ball pit and cried at trying out the Megaplay. It's okie, Mummy signed up Yan En and Mao Zhi for the membership, he will warm up pretty soon.

Saw Geraldine's classmate Xin Yi at the show. Xin Yi's mummy got the ticket Q to take picture with Hello Kitt, so lucky Geraldine can tag along

Geraldine love the show and Mummy and Daddy brought her to watch it 4 times over the past 2 weeks!

Birthday pressie from Auntie Kwee Hon and Auntie Brenda

2nd birthday pressie received from Auntie Brenda. A beautiful musical box with a pretty watch and ring. Thank you Auntie Brenda :-) makes me feel pretty.

Her first present received from Auntie Kwee Hon. She can't wait to open it and try her hands at invitation card making. Tell me she will make invitation card to invite Yan En to Explorer kidz that we are bringing the kids out on friday for some indoor fun! Thank you Auntie Kwee Hon keeps me occupied and don't disturb my mummy and Daddy while they work.

Geraldine help me prepared her birthday party for school today. So fast my gal will be turning 4 in a couple of days!

Met with her 3 teachers today and below are the report card for the term

Letter Identification skills : Has good mastery of the subject
Letter writting skills: Excellent
Number identification skills: Good just confused with number 8, 13 and 15
Number writting skills: Excellent
Reads CVC words: Able to decode the word but not so confident about it
Read short phrase: reads phrases but with hestitations; tends to guess the last part
Writting skills: Impressive writing skills

Self help skills
Bathing: very eager to take action
Dressing up: very independent
Tooth brushing: follows good brushing strokes
Setting up the mattress: able to so it independently
Toileting: follows the routine well (flushing, washung hands)
Drinking water: finishes 2 bottle a day
Eating habits: very good appetitie; finshes on time (always ask for 2nd helping)

Areas of improvement:
Gets too chatty with her friends even during lesson time (Her best friend are Isabelle and Shevelle)
Easily influence by her friends action

Teacher commented that her level of maturity is still not there as compared to her friends as she is the youngest in her class. Her social skills have improve alot and she is not afraid to speak up in front of her class. What Teacher Mary like about her is that she can defend herself when she finds she is right in her action and does not agree with her friends blindly.
Her learning/language skills are great except for her chinese which need a lot of improvement. It is all Mummy and Daddy's fault since we always speak to her in English and not Mandarin. We ahve to be conscious now and speak more to her in Mandarin.

She is now in her K1 class under Teacher Mary, her favorite teacher. She is more confidence and outspoken in class now. Hope as she moves on, she will build a stronger self esteem.

My little princess is growing up so fast now. Her chinese is still poor so mummy will be signing her up for Tian Hsia Language to strengthen her foundation.
