Big shoes

We were in our bedroom trying to settle Geraldine and get her ready for bed. Without us noticing, she took the tissue box that just happened to be empty and put it on her left feet and told us, 'Look, Daddy, big shoes!'

Calling Mummy

Out of the blue, Geraldine suddenly loves calling Mummy almost every single mintue. Every single thing she will call out Mummy for my attention. Felt so happy! Finally, she is calling Mummy without me having to ask her to call me. And she calls Mummy more than Daddy now...haha...And she sounds really sweet whenever she calls me, makes my heart melt and want to pamper her even more.

Love for Daddy

Geraldine said her first complete sentence tonight, 'Daddy, make milk milk now. Daddy, come.' She has been saying short and broken sentences for the past couple of months and finally, she say a complete sentence! Well done gal!

Geraldine is really a Daddy's girl. The way she call her Daddy is so sweet and full of love. She even make me jeolous of her Daddy coz of the loving way she calls him with a special tone to it.
From the moment she woke up in the morning to night time before she sleeps, or in the middle of the night when she is dreaming, she will call out to her Daddy for comfortable and also to 'yang orh' her Daddy. The love she has for her Daddy is obviously very deep and so very special. It's touching to see the special love and bonding that they have. Geraldine listens to Daddy whenever he ask her to do something, unlike me, she doesn't listen most of the time. When Daddy says it, she will do it for him once she promise him she will do it. It's funny when I see Geraldine acts out what she promise to her Daddy. Thought sometime when she is her stubborn self she will ignore him too....haha part of growing up.

Lazy Sunday

Daddy was reading newspaper at the sofa, Geraldine took the classified page, climb up next to Daddy and started to read. She hold the newspaper and really concentrate on reading. So cute.

Our new home - Before the renovation works

We got our keys to the new house on the 12th Aug 09. First look of our new home.

Main door walkway and dining area, we going to hack down the wall to make the dining area more spacious. We both love the living room balcony but for Geraldine's safety, we decide to do forgo the open resort style concept and do up window gills and outdoor windows. At the same time, we will be removing the balcony door thus extending the living room area out to the balcony. This will make the living room more spacious and letting Geraldine have more running space.

We decide to hack down the kitchen and redo with open concept as the existing cabinets are really old and run down.

Master bedroom view from balcony, lucky daddy say just do window gills and leave the balcony door as it is so we will still have an outdoor balcony for plants and relaxation.

We will be pretty busy over the next 2 months with selection of the contractor for renovation works and also overseeing the whole renovation project. Hope the end result will look good and we create a cosy, safe and comfortable new home for Geraldine.

Pretty in Yellow

Hide & Seek

Geraldine hiding in her favorite hiding place, her play mat. Everyday without fail, she will demand Daddy, Mummy and KaKa to take turn playing hide and seek with her.

Favorite - Ice cream cone

Geraldine's favorite tibits is the ice-cream cone. She can finish all by herself (without the ice-cream on top). Every day she will go to the kitchen cupboard and dig for the ice-cream cone box. Once she found it, she will run to us and ask us to give it to her to mum..mum....

Looking like a big gal

Putting on her shoe all by herself. She is all ready to go out to the market. Daddy say I'm crazy to let her wear jeans out to the market. Realised this jeans is for 18 to 24mths, they are new and she has never wore them before. Have to find all chances to let her wear them before she outgrown them pretty soon...haha

Bought the top from Children Place...so sweet...

Noti little Angel??

Tried to do something with her hair...but its neither short nor long..so only thing is tied them up at the sides.

Supermarket Shopping cart

Bought Geraldine a supermarket shopping cart and she is loving it! She keeps pushing it around and showing us what she has in the cart. Sometimes, we see her Barney sitting in it too!

Nightmares and dark circles

Geraldine is feeling much better today thought she still having fever. The medicine that Dr Ong prescript for her mouth is really good and her wound is recovering well. But she is still having nightmares and has been crying out almost every hour at night. Look at my poor baby's dark circles...she never had dark circles before.

High fever again

I was home to take care of Geraldine as she is still having fever. She hasn't slept well the whole night, having nightmares from her fall. Her mouth wound is also causing her much pain. Poor baby has no appetite at all! It really pains us to see her suffering so much, if only we can take over the pain from her and keep her safe!
Her fever shot up to almost 40 degrees in the afternoon, I panic and quickly sponge her with ice water and rush her to Thomson Medicial to see Dr Ong. Daddy met us at the hospital. Immediately, she was given a strong dose of fever med. Doc said its virus infection and to monitor her over the next few days.

Bad Fall

Geraldine had a really bad fall this evening. She missed a step on the stairs at YeYe house and fell flat on her mouth. Blood was gushing out from her mouth. Everyone panic and trying to find ways to stop the blood.... my poor baby was crying really badly and blood was all over my top and her's too! When the blood finally stop, we notice her 2 front tooth is hurt and there is bleeding. Her lower lip has 2 deep cut which causes the initial gush of blood. She is definietly in a lot of pain!
At around 12+ midnight, she developed high fever and we rushed her to KK hospital, worried it might be caused by the infection of her mouth wound. Doctor suggested 2 stitches, but poor baby is already in much pain that we decided not to let her go through it again. We tried to maintain her mouth clean since the KK Doc said there is no med to apply and only gave her med for her fever.

Hello Kitty Watch

Wearing her Hello Kitty watch which is a gift from Auntie Brenda for Christmas last year. So sweet!

Getting better

She loves this cute purple elephant. I just might get her this when Daddy is not aware... heehee

My sweet little baby is feeling much better and her fever is gone. Time to bring her out for some fresh air.

Down with fever

Geraldine is down with fever....poor darling have to be cope up at home. No outing for her.... see her grumpy face.

Golden Kiwi

Geraldine and her favorite golden kiwi. Golden kiwi is in the season now. She will have one almost everyday after her regular meals.

Things she loves

1) Talking. She can sit and talk on and on non stop. With a lot of hand actions and animation. If we listen carefully and catch her words, she is actually recounting her activities for the day. Such as telling us how much fun she had with Ye Ye, and her many cousins last sat running around at the back lane. Or how much fun she had with 'Kaka' playing cooking and also the other day Ye Ye scold her for trying to switch off the TV. So cute! She is like a little adult.

2) She loves Daddy putting the 'Ru Yi You' on her tummy and will tell her Daddy 'Oil, such (for massage)'. She really know how to enjoy a good massage. Lucky baby, got Daddy to massge for you.

3) The other day in the car, I show her a pic of turtle in Women's Weekly. From that day onwards, her love for turtle developed. Whenever we in the car, she will call out 'Turtle, turtle' and we must show her the pic to keep her quiet.

4) She is starting to put her request into sentence to express herself. 'KaKa, biscuits, please. Xie xie.' 'pon pon, towel'. ' purple comb'. ' comb hair' ...etc.

5) She loves avocadoes, golden kiwi, cheese, baby corn, eggs and toast bread. Recently, she has a change in taste bug, instead of milk, she prefer baby corn and broccoli as her breakfast for weekends.

6) She is starting to appreciate the Word's World DVD that I got for her, maybe because of the colorful animations and stories. I like the many words that appears in the show teaching children how to spell and pronounce. Hope she picks up more words from this DVD. Will get more WW series for her.

7) She loves sitting in the driver seat and pretending to drive. Anything button that is within reach, she will pressed it all!

8) When its bed time or when we are going out, Geraldine will running around the house switching off the fan, TV, internet and lights. One thing we were quite surprise, no one taught her which switch is for the TV or the internet switch (both switches are side by side), she knows exactly which switch is for what. The other day, Daddy say wait don't off the internet, she really leave the switch of the internet alone.

Mature little baby

The past 2 weeks has been tiring for me running to and fro the hospital that I didn't get to spend much time with Geraldine. The only place we bring her on weekends is to the supermarkets for groceries shopping. After that, I will spend the afternoon in the hospital keeping mum company.

Geraldine has been putting on weights the past weeks. Her little tummy is much bigger and rounder. Her thighs is showing much fats but no worries as they are firm and sturdy from all her running & climbing activities. We love it! So cute and chubby! Though by her face, you would think she is skinny. She has grown taller and looks more mature than toddler that is of the same age.
